Chemotherapy

Chemotherapy is useful in treating cancers that have metastasized (spread). Depending on the results of surgical specimen analysis, patients with invasive disease but no evidence of metastases, might receive a course of chemotherapy prior to surgery (neo-adjuvant), or post-operatively (adjuvant).
