Bladder Cancer

Continent Diversions

Continent diversions do not require a bag outside the body. Instead, the surgeon will create a pouch from a section of the intestine which is attached it to the ureters and stores the urine. There are several variations of continent diversion. The most common is the Neo-bladder, where the pouch is connected to the urethra with the goal of allowing normal urination.
